As a national media contributor & coach Janet K. Shields Scott’s lifestyle and beauty advice has been featured in Heart & Soul, UpScale, Sister 2 Sister, InStyle, Black Beat, Amalgamated Publishers, Hype Hair, The Network Journal, Indianapolis Business Journal. On television in New York City: WNYC CH. 31, What’s The 411?, The Home Shopping Network, and other cable stations. Mrs. Scott has also lent her hosting skills to Radio One in Indianapolis on WTLC 106.7 FM and New York City: Radio One WWRL 1600 AM, The Dr. Jeff Gardere Show, and the Larry Hardistee Sports Show WLIB 1190 AM.

Eventually, Janet launched a nationally syndicated radio feature interviewing: Rosa Parks, Tony Dungy, Heather Locklear, Oprah Winfrey, Diana Ross, Beyounce, and others. She has also covered the Red Carpet at The Emmy Awards, The Grammy Awards, and The Soul Train Awards.

Janet attended Kentucky State University, Indiana University, Queen Broadcast Center in Queens, NY, and New York Films & Video Arts Center.

The modest beauty also holds three beauty licenses: New York, Texas, Indiana, as well as, a New York Real Estate License and a YMCA Fitness Certification.

Ms. Scott has worked as a manager, skincare consultant, and makeup artist for Adrien Arpel, Revlon, and Shisedo Cosmetics. With a brief stint on Broadway, she worked in the Hair and Makeup Department for The Phantom of the Opera and Jelly’s Last Jam with Gregory Hines and Savion Glover. Janet’s skincare advice has been quoted in several major skincare brochures and cosmetic counter cards. She currently conducts workshops and seminars in Career Style and Office Stretches.

Janet’s focus is to continue serving, educating, and entertaining thru workshops, speaking engagements, and as a producer / host.
